Attila Szűcs (1967)

In the last ten years the Hungarian painter Attila Szűcs has classified himeslf among the strong group of painters from Eastern Europe which could establish on the European and repeatedly on the international art scene. Szűcs‘ work is based on his sophisticated technique, but in the first place, he is a painter of unprecedented imagination and sensivity. In his paintings he often works with unexpected phenomena and realities, which involve the spectator in the centre of the happening. Attila Szűcs has exhibited in a range of major cities in Germany, Italy, Austria and in New York. On the occasion of the exhibition  „Specters and Experiments“, which was organised in 2016 by the Ludwig Museum in Budapest, a monography was published. Attila Szűcs is quite rightly considered as one of the most fundamental figures in Eastern Europe, represented in various private collections in the whole world.
