Ivana Štenclová (1980)
I'm interested
Ivana Štenclová is a remarkable painter who can boast a number of show successes as well as numerous representations in important collections. The author’s work is strongly influenced by the original drawing training, which is systematically, sometimes purposefully but often arbitrarily reflected in her artistic production. Layering has become a topic that permeates the entire theoretical and practical part of her work. Štenclová in her works connects visually non-functional parts, which together create a targeted highly sophisticated pattern. This complexity contrasts with the banality of everydayness and the beauty of ordinary moments that inspire the author.
Awards:
Audience Award, Critic's Gallery 2008
Josef Hlávka Award, 2005
Selected Exhibitions:
Artisterium 9, Kill the Buddha!, History Museum, Tbilisi, 2016
XIX Bienale Internation de Arte de Cerveira, Vila Nova de Cerveira, Cerveira, 2017
Mikve, Budoart Gallery, Prague, 2017
Ab Ovo, Exhibition Hall Chrudim, Chrudim
