Jakub Špaňhel is perceived as a huge talent of the Czech art scene. From the very beginning of his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under the guidance of Milan Knížák and Jiří David, he started to become a sought-after artist among collectors. In his works, he depicts traditional topics of strong personal value to him. The characteristic painting style of his, thematically influenced by classical painting, is based on a relaxed brushwork and a reduced form, through which he makes the essence and energy of the depicted matters stand out.
