Lubomír Typlt (1975)
I'm interested
Lubomír Typlt ranks among classics of the contemporary Czech painting. Typlt studied first in Prague by Jiří Šalamoun and afterwards in Brno by Jiří Načeradský. Important for him were also his studies at Kunstakadamie in Düsseldorf where he created by significant painters as M. Lüpertz, G. Merz or A. R. Penck. Typlt´s creation concerned itself in the first years after studies above all with two main courses. He created geometrical abstract compositions which were placed into indefinite empty worlds and he painted figures in their pure form. Figures of boys fascinated with levitating glowing seeds are the beginning of the Typlt´s noteworthy journey which illustrates children in situations of weird but honest joy. It is not important if the scene is dynamic or if the figures are interested in their activity so much that they are creating stabile and unchanging compositions. In case of Typlt´s figures it is mainly about fascination. Pure and honest passion for the thing, whatever it is. Everything is mainly about physicality and gestures. On the imaginary basic equation of some courage and sincerity. The essence of Lubomír Typlt´s paintings is based on specific colors which change over time. It isn´t based only on thought-out contrasts and variations, it can also remarkably intensify the atmosphere of the artwork itself.
