Vladimír Véla (1980)
I'm interested
Despite of his affiliation to the young generation of Czech painters Vladimír Véla is an artist whose work has resonated in the Czech art scene for a number of years. He is represented in a number of state collections and he participated in an important exhibition „Butterfly Effect?“ in the Prague Rudolfinum, which stands for the „initiative“ for the Czech contemporary painting in general. In his early stage during his studies under Prof. Beran, Véla created representative painting from his intentions. After a while though he transpassed the borders of this way of painting and undertook a rapid change, painting motives inspired by nature or religious topics. He passed into the studio of Prof. Milan Knížák. He works very concentrated and he understands the sole element as complex with all its connotations and refrences. Previous painting experience allows Vladimir Véla to reach unprecedented reliability in his painting.
