Hubert Scheibl

Hubert Scheibl (1952) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna with Arnulf Rainer and soon participated in the Venice and São Paulo Biennials. He lived in New York for several years, which explains why his thinking and work are strongly influenced by American writers and filmmakers such as John Williams, Philip Roth and Stanley Kubrick.

His works are represented in international collections, such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Cisneros-Fontanals Foundation in Miami, the Michael and Susan Hort Collection in New York, the NAMOC International Museum of Art in Beijing, and the Albertina and Belvedere in Vienna.
