Denisa Krausová
Denisa Krausová (1981) is a remarkable artist, one of the leading representatives of the emerging generation of contemporary female painters. Her work is characterised by an unprecedented concentration and ability to communicate. Very soon it became known to the professional public. She was nominated for the Critics’ Award for Young Painting and twice for the NG 333 Award. Krausová brilliantly combines the drawing line with the lightness and casualness of her painting expression. In her beginnings, her works were often based on the interpretation of stories and various situations. In recent years, Krausová’s work has been changing, with organic shapes and motifs becoming the focus of her interest. Krausová analyses the essence of things and forms. It is surprising that such high-quality and strong work often goes unnoticed by collectors and many curators.
