Ivana Štenclová
Ivana Štenclová (1980) is a remarkable painter with a number of exhibition successes as well as numerous representations in important collections. The artist’s work is significantly influenced by her original drawing training, which is systematically, sometimes purposefully, but often arbitrarily reflected in her artistic production. Layering has become a theme that permeates the entire theoretical and practical part of her work. In her works, Štenclová combines parts which are visually dysfunctional when separate and only together create a targeted pattern demanding in its sophistication. This complexity stands in a certain contrast to the banality of everyday life and the beauty of ordinary moments that inspire the author.
