Michal Cimala
Michal Cimala (1975) is one of the prominent figures of the contemporary Czech art scene. He devotes himself to many areas of fine art - sculpture, painting, jewelry, design, and he also creates fully functional musical instruments on the border of the sculptural object, on which he also plays and composes his own music. He also works as a teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. His source of inspiration is urban poetics and the industrial environment from which he comes. He draws attention to the dangers arising from the rapid advance of civilization, to express his visions he often uses the principle of recycling, where he processes objects whose existence has already ended and which have been thrown away as unnecessary.
