Pasta Oner
Pasta Oner (1979) is a distinctive solo artist of the contemporary Czech art scene, highly appreciated and sought after by collectors. In recent years, he has been intensively profiling himself within the boundaries of classic independent and public gallery operations. His artistic expression reflects pop-art and cartoon aesthetics, in recent years combined with or inspired by iconic works of old masters. In his works he paraphrases familiar motifs, transforms them or puts them into new contexts using a method based on collage, thus finding a characteristic way to reflect or ironise contemporary society. Oil and acrylic painting have become dominant for him, and objects and sculpture play an equally important role in his work.
