KodlContemporary at POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair 2024

We couldn't have asked for anything better. At the very beginning of the POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair, we won the unique award The Best Booth Award from the organizers for our installation. We value it all the more because we succeeded in the strong competition of 111 exhibiting galleries from 24 countries. In this way, it was possible to attract the attention of the public and experts not only to the work of the featured artists - Ira Svobodová and Jan Kaláb, but also to Czech contemporary art in general.

Visitors to the KodlContemporary exhibition discussed the potential of Czech contemporary art, appreciated its development in recent years and its position on the global art scene. The work of both authors exceeded their expectations and the exhibited works aroused great interest from visitors and buyers.

POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair took place this year from September 12 to 15 in the unique premises of the former Tempelhof Airport. The Berlin Fair is considered the key event of the Berlin art scene at the beginning of the autumn season, presenting the best of contemporary and modern art. Here, the selected galleries have a unique opportunity to present their artistic programs and perspectives to a wide international audience as part of the Berlin Art Week.

The fair with a unique atmosphere took place in the unique hangars of the former Berlin-Tempelhof airport on an area exceeding 12,000 m². This extensive space enables the organization of a varied and high-quality accompanying program, including special exhibitions, gala ceremonies, discussions, art collectors' dinners and other important events. POSITIONS Berlin plays an important role in the Berlin and international art scene, as it provides a space for the presentation of innovative artistic approaches and promotes dialogue about contemporary art. It thus became one of the important meeting places for collectors, gallerists, curators and lovers of contemporary art from all over the world.
