Zdeněk Trs (1985). The work of Zdeněk Trs, a talented representative of contemporary Czech painting, is characterised by unusual delicacy and purity of artistic expression. The works of this graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, who studied under the guidance of Zdeněk Beran, combine an abstract geometric position with light as the alpha and omega of vision. In the perfect synthesis of these elements, mysterious contemplative scenes full of peace and harmony are created, which literally draw the viewer into their interior. Their seeming infinity becomes a third dimension that transcends the surface essence of the canvas. The artist’s monochrome paintings also reflect the relationships between basic geometric shapes – the square and the circle, but the exploration of the laws of nature and the theme of the universe and the processes taking place in it are also important to him.
