Hubert Scheibl (1952)

Hubert Scheibl studied under Arnulf Rainer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and participated early at the Biennale di Venezia and Biennale São Paulo. He also lived in New York for several years, which explains why his thinking and work is heavily influenced by American writers and filmmakers, such as John Williams, Philip Roth, and Stanley Kubrick. His works are represented in international collections, for example Centre Pompidou Paris, Cisneros-Fontanals Foundation Miami, Michael and Susan Hort Collection New York, NAMOC International Art Museum Beijing, Albertina Vienna, Belvedere Vienna.

Selected exhibitions:
Fruits de la Passion, Musée National d'Art Moderne Centre, 2012
