Ondřej Basjuk (1983)
I'm interested
Ondřej Basjuk’s work is strongly influenced by his fascination with the art of the Far East. The work, based on complex and well-thought-out analyses, originates from a deep knowledge of the philosophy of depiction in this part of the world, as well as from knowledge of the field of philosophy and cultural history in general. Basjuk’s meditative paintings create a harmonious permeation of the spiritual world with the perceptible one. The appeal of the artist’s works is a synthesis of a sovereign drawing, demonstrated through a monochrome colour palette, and the often concealed socio-critical outreach.
