Adam Štech (1980)  I'm interested

Adam Štech is a noticeable member of the strong forthcoming generation of painters which profiles itself here in the last decades. Štech is very distinctive and accurate painter who is strongly influenced by modernistic styles. From his pictures, we can feel fascination but at the same time also reverence for so much proven and deep-rooted forms. For a moment, we can think that we are right on the edge of the concept. However, it is precisely Štech´s accuracy and concentrated desire to create his own and “healthy” language that moves us into the area of seminal and pleasant dialogue between the past and the present. Another interesting dimension of Štech´s painting is a frequent principle of polarity and very clever connection of seemingly inconsistent topics. It is exactly this approach, which is created by a certain refinement, that gets the spectator into the state of surprise and astonishment. It isn´t only about confrontation of the spectator with the history of art or about reminding him things already forgotten. It is about a distinctive expression imbued with feeling and mature reflection which moves, with assistance of Štech´s excellent painter´s technique, his endeavor into completely different and attractive interiors.
