Šárka Koudelová (1987)

An extraordinary figure of the contemporary art scene, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, Šárka Koudelová, is a talented and undoubtedly noticeable artist, whose work captures the depth and breadth of inner content and semantic meanings beyond. One of her fundamental inspirational sources became mediaeval and renaissance painting, which, according to the author, can be perceived as an archetypal depiction of generally valid visual figures; thus only if we break the prejudice of seeing the historical legacy of painting as an insufficiently erudite prelude to the present, which is stuck in gallery institutions.
